Solios Watches: A Sustainable Brand With Purpose

Today we would like to talk about one of our favorite eco friendly watches brands.

Namely, Solio Watches and one of their new initiatives. You’ve probably seen that Solios hold a pretty high position on our eco friendly watches article.

Solios watches is currently about to launch a new limited edition watch to raise money for the Make-A-Wish foundation.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a non-profit organization in the United States that helps to grant the wishes of critically ill children.

If you haven’t heard of Solios Watches before, we got you covered below.

Who is Solios?

Solios Watches was first founded in Montreal, Canada, with the idea of using and consuming sustainable goods without sacrificing on design.

Namely, they promote “sustainable fashion with style.”

In terms of the materials they generally use, they use stainless steel, and sapphire coated glass.

Additionally, Solios incorporates ionic coloration processes for their coloring of metal to make sure water is not contaminated.

All their packaging is done with recycled cardboard.

Furthermore, It is interesting to note that Solios is also working on a program that will allow clients to return their old watches to promote recycling.

Additionally, in terms of their supplies, they group all the environmental and ethical certifications(both locally and internationally) to ensure they adhere to their supplier’s code of conduct, which they enforce by visiting every supplier factory.

If you wonder why you should look at Solios watches(or any other eco friendly or sustainable watch), then consider that every year over 300 million batteries could be avoided if watches made of quarts were solar powered.

For you, this means being more sustainable and saving money from having to replace batteries. Something Solios is well aware of.

What is the Initiative & How is Solios Involved?

Normally, the Make-A-Wish foundation organizes a 48-hour bike read each year.

However, for COVID-19 reasons, this year, the event was canceled. Thus, this cost them quite a significant amount of money in donations.

Solios managed to raise more than 12,000 USD last year for this and are looking to at the very least double that amount with a new Solios watch.

Solios wants to donate 50 USD to the foundation for each of the special edition Solios watches sold.

More importantly, the point is to use this money to grant wishes to different children with critical illnesses.

In terms of design, it is the first blue dial watch with a vegan eco leather blue strap that will include white stitching with the foundation’s logo behind it (made with custom engraving).

Moreover, it will be delivered in handmade packaging out of 100% recycled cardboard(FSC certified).

The product is meant to be delivered to buyers in the last week of November.

As you can probably already figured out, this Solios initiative’s main reason is to help the Make-A-Wish foundation raise money.

Furthermore, if you want to hear them talk about the initiative, you can do so here.
